The WPA adapter ensures a very short steam path. It preserves the taste and does not condense as much active ingredient. The steam thus draws almost directly into your water filter.
The WPA is of course backwards compatible with all generations of the Anvil and comes with a retaining ring to be able to move it even when warm.
